Community POPNA is as much a concept as a separate product. The original POPNA was conceived as a tool that would be employed by outsiders to assess the needs of communities and regions. However, the team realized that the tool could also be made available to those immediately affected by a disaster, empowering them to create systematic overviews of their situation that could be of help for their own planning, for advocacy or for presenting needs to outside organizations.
Initially the community POPNA idea materialized in the form of a much simplified version of the POPNA questionnaire. The simplified version was produced in English and Chines, and we have made them available on the download page on this website.
